Leviticus 21:7 They shall not take a wife that is<\/i> a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is<\/i> holy unto his God.

Leviticus 21:14\u00a0A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or<\/i> an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These are more verses on divorce and remarriage. The condition of one that is divorced. They are not clean. There is something wrong.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 23:2\u00a0Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning<\/i> the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be<\/i> holy convocations, even<\/i> these are<\/i> my feasts.

I wonder what’s in here regarding Pentecost in the New Testament and the promise of the Holy Spirit and the church. \u00a0Bro. Janow used to say something about the loaves and such? What’s the leaven got to do with anything?<\/p>\n

Leviticus 23:22\u00a0And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am<\/i> the LORD your God.
\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The gleanings? Ruth and Naomi of course. The mercy of God. The sparrows are fed. There’s plenteous in the gleanings. God’s compassion and concern. God’s eye is upon the poor. Blessed are the poor in Spirit.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 23:40\u00a0And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sticks? The cross maybe?<\/p>\n

Leviticus 24:4\u00a0He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.

Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning… Altar fire is also perpetual. Altar fire vs lamp fire.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 24:12\u00a0And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is about the son who blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. What do you do with someone like this?<\/p>\n

Leviticus 24:20\u00a0Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again<\/i>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The law. This is fairness.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 25:10\u00a0And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all<\/i> the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Leviticus 25:21\u00a0Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fruitfulness! God’s fruit lasts.<\/p>\n

Levitucus 25:31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.

Huh?<\/p>\n

Leviticus 25:36\u00a0Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Becareful with this interest thing. I don’t think God likes it too much. Money changing like stock market and anuities and such, money working seems to be different than just a loan. I don’t know.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 25:44\u00a0Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be<\/i> of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Slaves are cool!<\/p>\n

Leviticus 25:47\u00a0And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth<\/i> by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or<\/i> sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In stock and ready to go.<\/p>\n

For unto me the children of Israel are<\/i> servants; they are<\/i> my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am<\/i> the LORD your God.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
