1 Samuel 26:4\u00a0 David therefore sent out spies, and understood that Saul was come in very deed.<\/p>\n
1 Samuel 26:8-9\u00a0 Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite<\/em> him the second time. \u00a0(9)\u00a0 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’S anointed, and be guiltless?<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 26:10\u00a0 David said furthermore, As<\/em> the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 26:12\u00a0 So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul’s bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it,<\/em> nor knew it,<\/em> neither awaked: for they were<\/em> all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 26:17\u00a0 And Saul knew David’s voice, and said, Is<\/em> this thy voice, my son David? And David said, It is<\/em> my voice, my lord, O king.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 26:21\u00a0 Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 27:1\u00a0 And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is<\/em> nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 27:9\u00a0 And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:1\u00a0 And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:5\u00a0 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:6\u00a0 And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:9\u00a0 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:15\u00a0 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:16\u00a0 Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:19\u00a0 Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt<\/em> thou and thy sons be<\/em> with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:20\u00a0 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 28:24\u00a0 And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it,<\/em> and did bake unleavened bread thereof:<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 29:3\u00a0 Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do<\/em> these Hebrews here?<\/em> And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is<\/em> not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me<\/em> unto this day?<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 29:4\u00a0 And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it<\/em> not be<\/em> with the heads of these men?<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 29:5\u00a0 Is<\/em> not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 29:9\u00a0 And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art<\/em> good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:1\u00a0 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:4\u00a0 Then David and the people that were<\/em> with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:6\u00a0 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:14\u00a0 We made an invasion upon<\/em> the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast<\/em> which belongeth<\/em> to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:16-17\u00a0 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were<\/em> spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah. \u00a0(17)\u00a0 And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:20\u00a0 And David took all the flocks and the herds, which<\/em> they drave before those other<\/em> cattle, and said, This is<\/em> David’s spoil.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:22\u00a0 Then answered all the wicked men and men<\/em> of Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them ought<\/em> of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them<\/em> away, and depart.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:26\u00a0 And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even<\/em> to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 30:31\u00a0 And to them<\/em> which were<\/em> in Hebron, and to all the places where David himself and his men were wont to haunt.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 31:2\u00a0 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons;
